Fried Potato and Herring Meal

As in every year, the Möhlenkring Rhaude-Holte e.V. is hosting the popular herring meal on "German Unity Day." On Thursday, October 3, 2025, the Rhauder Mühle will be open to all guests from near and far from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Smoked or onion herring will be offered with delicious fried potatoes or simply with rye bread. Guests who do not like fish can enjoy the tasty fried potatoes with fried eggs. In case of rain, two tents will be set up. There will also be a take-out sale. Interested guests are encouraged to bring suitable containers. On the ground floor of the 175-year-old gallery Dutch mill, a mill café will be set up again. Here, cakes and tortes baked by members and friends of the Möhlenkring will be sold. The mill will be open for visits, and knowledgeable guided tours will be offered for interested visitors. Various play equipment will be available for children. Additionally, some exhibitors will again showcase their handcrafted products.
