Deported and expelled, as the "unwanted" of her time, the young Jewish actress from Vienna climbs the career ladder every evening further up into the sad Olympus of loneliness. She sings, acts, and screams her way into the hearts of the audience just as she does under the carpets, tables, and beds of the directors. From 1938 in Vienna to 1946 in New York, only the memories of Leo and whiskey remain loyal to her in the countless hotel rooms and theater dressing rooms. Back in Europe, she must realize: "Tralala, that's life! | One sits down, but one always sits aside | Others sing just as well, certainly | But too quietly for me!" The Hamburg actress Sarah Kattih takes on the role of Lola Blau and sings, acts, and screams. Her Lola seduces to laughter and tears, touching both heart and mind – inviting reflection and further thought. Sarah Kattih is accompanied by the violinist Matthias Brommann, who has arranged the chansons for violin and viola for this production. Georg Kreisler's "one-woman musical" was written in 1970 and premiered in Vienna a year later. His chansons are intelligent, wicked, and always poetic – touchingly comedic and alarmingly relevant. Directed by: Hartmut Uhlemann.
