Rock for Tolerance Open Air Festival

The festival in Hann. Münden, between Göttingen and Kassel, the Rock for Tolerance Open Air (RFTOA) has developed into a staple among live events in Hann. Münden and the surrounding area in recent years. Since 2016, our festival has featured regional and national bands on stage each year, raising the flag for more tolerance and togetherness. The combination of concert, fundraising, and exhibition of social projects resonates with a wide audience. From punk to alternative to metal, from local heroes to professional bands, you can find everything on our stages. Moreover, the RFTOA is ideally located: the festival takes place in southern Lower Saxony, right on the border with Hesse. The RFTOA is situated almost exactly in the middle of Germany. At the festival site, there are a variety of culinary delights (including vegetarian and vegan options), the usual beer tents, and of course cocktails and more at the famous Party Liner. Since 2018, the RFTOA has also offered a diverse children's program.

Events as social work Rock for Tolerance is more than just a music festival, as this event series aims to set a sign for more tolerance. And everyone should be able to participate. That’s why we say: Pay what you can! We offer tickets at different price levels. People who still cannot afford a ticket have the opportunity to receive a free ticket. Additionally, entry is free for people under 16 and over 65 years old, as well as for club members. Throughout the year, the Rock for Tolerance e.V. is committed to education, promoting democracy, and empowering marginalized groups. Our festival provides a safer space where everyone should feel comfortable. To achieve this as best as possible, a team has been formed that has created a comprehensive awareness concept that is applied at our festival. The association has also carried out or co-organized numerous other actions. Among other things, peace demonstrations in the context of Putin's invasion of Ukraine, aid transports to the Polish-Ukrainian border, transport of refugees and sick individuals from Ukraine, various actions for International Women's Day, and much more. This means that with every shirt you buy, every drink you consume, and every portion of fries sold, you automatically support a multitude of social projects and more!

Fundraising During the event, donations are collected, which are distributed to social integration projects in Hann. Münden and the surrounding area upon application. In recent years, we have supported various projects and organizations with a total of around 85,000 EUR. The Rock for Tolerance e.V. supports projects and initiatives from Hann. Münden and the surrounding area in the fields of welfare, art and culture, education, vocational training, youth and elderly assistance, international cooperation, tolerance in all areas of culture and the idea of international understanding, as well as charitable purposes in accordance with § 53 of the Tax Code. We have supported a multitude of projects in recent years.
