Hann. Münden is getting spruced up! – Call for a spring cleaning

Once again this year, we warmly invite you to the traditional spring cleaning event. We thank you in advance for your active participation and support in the joint cleaning action in the city center as well as in the districts. The date on which we will eliminate the unsightly corners of Hann. Münden and free the public spaces from the last traces of winter is set for Saturday, March 14, 2026. We call on all citizens, the chairpersons of local clubs and associations, as well as representatives of public and private institutions: Help clear your city or district of litter and carelessly discarded waste. Priority should be given to those areas that cannot be regularly maintained by the municipal cleaning staff. The riverbanks are excluded from this, as they will be cleaned on April 5 by the dedicated members of the Fishing Friends Association, as in previous years. This regulation also applies to ecologically sensitive zones that serve as breeding grounds for birds. The action "Hann. Münden cleans itself up!" will, as in previous years, be supported by the Göttingen district, the THW local group Hann. Münden, the Fishing Friends Association, and numerous volunteers from local clubs and initiatives. After the cleaning action, the members of the Fishing Friends Association invite all participants to a small snack at the clubhouse on Speckstraße – a welcome opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved together and to foster交流. Note on environmental responsibility: This action should not give the impression that cleaning up is only sufficient once a year. Rather, we want to encourage everyone to consistently pay attention to not littering the environment in their daily lives and to regularly carry out smaller cleaning actions. Together, we contribute to keeping our city clean and livable throughout the year. The meeting point for the action in the city center is the Mühlenbrücke at the Tanzwerder parking lot, where we will gather at 9:00 AM. We also ask the local mayors to note their respective collection actions by the THW as part of the registration.
