Curt Mast, the inventor of the Jägermeister herbal liqueur in the 1930s, was a brother of the Wolfenbüttel Freemasons. The journalist, author, and motorsport enthusiast Eckhard Schimpf shares stories and anecdotes about his beloved uncle Curt and his grandfather, the company founder Wilhelm Mast, along with various tales from and about Wolfenbüttel. However, it's not just about high-proof spirits; it’s also about high-speed racing, as “Ecki” was the founder of the legendary Jägermeister racing team in the 1970s. The orange racing cars are associated with famous names such as Graham Hill, Niki Lauda, and Jacky Ickx.
