Morgan Finlay is a singer and songwriter from Vancouver who was a guest in Bortfeld in April 2024. We have very fond memories of the first concert organized by the Kulturhaus Bortfeld e.V. and feel a connection to Morgan. His songs are characterized by a feather-light brilliance and inevitably put his listeners in an optimistic mood. Stylistically, the musician navigates a wide spectrum from indie rock to pop, folk, and acoustic singer-songwriter styles, with influences from grunge. Musical connections to Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice, Bruce Cockburn, or Bryan Adams are obvious, yet Morgan Finlay stands out with his unique style and the unmistakable influence of his Irish roots. Over the past 18 years, the artist has performed his songs on over 1,000 stages in 13 different countries.
