"Watt Zum Priel" translates to "Watt to the Priel" in English. However, "Watt" refers to a coastal wetland area in Germany, particularly in the North Sea region, and "Priel" refers to a tidal channel or creek. Therefore, it could also be interpreted as "Wadden Sea to the Priel" depending on the context.

Am Strand 8, 26427 Bensersiel

This tour takes us to the coastal mudflats near Bensersiel, to the first water-bearing creek. Upon arrival, we will observe a small offshore mussel reef. The mudflat substrate is relatively firm and easy to walk on. In some places, we may encounter a bit of silt and sink up to our ankles. New research findings about invasive species, the growth and development of mussels in the mudflat, as well as interesting information about mussel fishing will be explained. Families with children aged 8 and older are welcome to participate, but the tour is also well-suited for couples, individuals, and seniors who wish to explore the mudflat. We will experience the uniqueness of this nature shaped by ebb and flow and discover which living creatures can be found in and on the mudflat. The duration of the tour is approximately 2 hours. Dogs are not allowed in the mudflat. Clothing: fleece socks or snug-fitting surf or water shoes are recommended. Shorts are advisable, but pants that can be rolled up are also acceptable. Upper clothing should be adjusted to the weather conditions. From October to April, we recommend wearing rubber boots. Meeting point: "Strandportal" Bensersiel at the 2 colorful bears. For navigation: Am Strand 8, Bensersiel.
