The sled dog racing season usually begins in October and lasts until March. Since there is hardly any snow to be expected at the beginning of winter, the first races of the season are typically held as cart races, which are divided into different starter classes: runners, cyclists, dog scooters (kick scooters), and carts. Depending on the class, 1 to 10 dogs run on the approximately 6 km long race track (trail) in front of the various sports devices. Various Nordic breeds, such as the Siberian Husky, as well as many other dog breeds, are used as sled dogs. The important thing is that the dogs enjoy the pulling work!
