On board the Nile paddle steamer "Lotus," the couple Kay and Simon Mostyn want to spend their honeymoon. However, alongside all the other passengers, including a doctor, a clergyman, a suspicious-looking young man, and an elderly lady, Simon's ex-girlfriend has secretly booked a spot on the ship. What was planned as an idyllic journey is interrupted not only by her presence but also by a brutal and shocking murder.
