The gay young farmer Jonathan Dippelmann is in a bind. If he doesn't quickly get a woman to the altar, his family farm will go to his cynical sister. However, Jonathan's quirky partner Detlef is certainly not what his strict mother Ruth envisions as a daughter-in-law. Therefore, Jonathan hastily enters into a sham marriage with the Polish caregiver of his hard-of-hearing grandfather. But more and more unforeseen incidents land him in trouble. His partner Detlef has to throw on women's clothes and pretend to be the Polish mother-in-law, the newlyweds are caught in the hay with the farmhand, and then suddenly, the real mother from Poland shows up at the door. Will Jonathan still manage to save his sham marriage and the farm? A turbulent comedy of errors filled with situational humor.
