The famous soldier's song is about the hope of two loving people to reunite at the agreed meeting point at the end of World War I. Is the text a fiction or is there genuine experience behind it? How did the song come about, and does the village of Groothusen have anything to do with it? Answers to these questions are provided by the story told by Hero-Georg Boomgaarden. The narrative theater is musically accompanied by Christine Becker-Schmidt, vocals, and Mattis Reinders, piano. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
