Every novel, every story follows its own laws. Part of this internal structure is based on the decisions we consciously make while writing: the choice of perspective, tone, sequence of events, etc. However, texts develop their own will; writing is always a dialogue with one's own text. In the workshop for literary writing, practice is at the center. We will write and then playfully alter our texts, experiment with different narrative forms, and discuss the effects we achieve. The central question is always what our text needs to become more individual and impactful. Additionally, depending on desire and need, discussions about fundamental concepts of storytelling such as perspective, narrative voice, pace, etc., will be included. The course does not require prior writing experience.
