Winter Theater in Sittensen: "Caviar Drips Currywurst"

What happens when caviar drips on currywurst? Panic ensues for Erna Wutschke. She has to transform her run-down corner pub into a high-end restaurant within 24 hours because her newly wealthy cousin has announced his visit. To get him to lend her money for the pub, Erna had told him years ago that she runs a successful upscale restaurant – but what she actually has is a poorly performing corner pub. Now, the down-to-earth Erna suddenly has to pretend to be a top-notch restaurateur, and the quiet, dreary pub routine is turned upside down. Regular customer Sandy, who usually enjoys her morning drink at the pub, must step into the role of a refined patron, Erna's clumsy partner dashes from one disaster to the next as a posh waiter, the taciturn regular Heini stubbornly refuses to leave his pub, and Erna's envious neighboring restaurateur unleashes her pests in the establishment. What follows is a wildly funny game of misunderstandings where everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Despite many ideas and excuses, Erna seems to manage to convince her cousin of the "upscale restaurant." But when he announces a food critic from the magazine "Der Feinschmecker," complete chaos breaks out in Erna's supposed upscale restaurant.
