LADIES NIGHT

Five men in their prime, most of them unemployed, are quite astonished when their wives spend a fortune one evening on tickets to a male strip show. And then they come up with a crazy idea: Why not put on a show themselves as male strippers and make some money? What starts as a whimsical notion turns into a plan, but the road to the show is anything but straightforward. None of the not-so-young men have stage experience, let alone any dance skills. Suddenly, they begin to doubt their own bodies – are they not too old, too fat, too short, too lanky? Alongside prejudices and fears of failure, each one also struggles with the everyday burdens they carry. Sounds like a drama? Far from it! Despite this difficult starting point, the play is bursting with optimism and positivity. Of course, the first awkward attempts and the inevitable mishaps are good for a laugh. Yet the dialogues are clever, and the characters are multi-faceted, ensuring that the play is definitely funny but never ridiculous. And of course, the audience wonders until the end: will they actually go through with it and strip down by the end of the show? LADIES NIGHT is a charming and wonderfully comedic story full of heart. It celebrates values like self-love, courage, and community – something we could all use a bit more of!
