What is a design icon and why? Design is present in our everyday lives everywhere; often it is the mundane objects rather than haute couture. Design can be found in accessories, household items, electrical appliances, bottles, furniture, and even cars and buildings. Surely, one or another person has a design icon at home. Additionally, there are also objects that are personally iconic to each individual. Design surrounds us constantly in our daily lives, and often we unconsciously become designers ourselves. Without balanced design, most things would be unusable. In this photo lecture, design objects will be presented alongside designers who are often only known to enthusiasts. The registration deadline is February 10, 2026.
