Erection of the Lienener community tree

The traditional Maypole raising in Lienen marks the beginning of summer and is organized by a cooperation of local clubs. The event takes place at the sports center on Postdamm and offers a diverse program for all age groups. Musical performances, children's entertainment with a bouncy castle, and culinary offerings create an inviting atmosphere. The volunteer fire department of Lienen is responsible for attaching the May wreath made by the local farmers' wives and will also present their vehicles. For younger guests, the gymnastics department of the sports club organizes movement games, complemented by a 4.5-meter high football dartboard and the throwing sport Cornhole. This communal engagement of the Lienen clubs provides an appealing framework for the community. A family afternoon with dance, music, culinary delights, and interactive activities for children awaits visitors.
