Guided hike through the Schwalle

The guided hike through the Schwalle in Bad Driburg offers a fascinating exploration of the picturesque valley east of the Steinberg. The name "Schwalle" refers to the small river "Aa," which simply means "water." During the tour, impressive views of the idyllic village of Alhausen, the birthplace of the poet Friedrich Wilhelm Weber, as well as the Emder Höhe, unfold. After some varied passages, the path leads to the Steinberg, where the forest café Jäger invites you to rest with a splendid panoramic view over Bad Driburg. The return journey is pleasant, as it mostly descends. The route covers about 9 kilometers and can be completed in approximately three hours. The hikes take place regardless of weather conditions and start with just one person. It is recommended to wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.
