Family Day Nideggen in the Eifel National Park

The Family Day in Nideggen in the Eifel National Park offers nature-loving families an approximately three-hour hands-on program along four-kilometer hikes. The events are primarily designed for children of elementary school age; younger children should be seated in backpacks. The program is flexibly adapted to the needs of visually impaired, blind, or mobility-impaired children, as well as children with learning difficulties. Depending on interest, age, weather, and season, the program evolves on-site with the group. Questions such as "How do I recognize wild forest?" or "How do I orient myself in the wilderness?" are explored in a playful manner. Certified forest guides accompany the hikes, allowing children to discover the secrets of nature, learn about plants, and read animal tracks. Registration is required by no later than one business day before the event. Family Days start at various national park gates and information points.
