Ranger Tour Wahlerscheid in the Eifel National Park

The Ranger Tour Wahlerscheid in the Eifel National Park offers a unique opportunity to experience the dynamic development of nature up close. During this approximately three-hour, easy hike in the southern part of the park, experienced rangers guide participants through ever-changing forests and along natural stream valleys with lush meadows. Especially in spring, these meadows transform into an impressive sea of wild daffodils. The tour mainly takes place on flat terrain, making it suitable for children as well as all-terrain strollers. It is aimed at a wide audience, including people with hearing impairments, blind and visually impaired individuals, seniors, and families. For hard-of-hearing guests, there is the option to borrow a mobile hearing amplifier with prior registration. A visit to the National Park Gate in Monschau-Höfen before or after the hike enhances the experience. The barrier-free exhibition "Daffodil Ecstasy and Forest Change" provides information about the unique features of the southern national park. The National Park Gate is located about six kilometers from the Wahlerscheid parking lot. Participation in the Ranger Tour is free of charge and does not require registration, unless it involves groups of ten or more, who are requested to announce themselves in advance.
