The ColognePride demonstration, known as Christopher Street Day (CSD), is one of the largest events for the LGBTQIA+ community in Europe. Each year, around 60,000 participants gather in about 250 groups, accompanied by 90 floats, to march through the streets of Cologne. This demonstration is celebrated by over a million spectators along the sidelines. The event sends a strong message for diversity, tolerance, and acceptance, and stands against discrimination. The CSD demonstration in Cologne is, alongside Berlin, the largest of its kind in Germany.
