Family Workshop: "Cromford Scribble Book/Watercolor Edition"

Dive into the fascinating world of watercolor painting in the historic setting of the Cromford textile factory. The family workshop "Cromforder Scribble Book/Watercolor Edition" invites you to artistically explore the former cotton spinning mill. Under expert guidance, individual sketchbooks will be created featuring motifs related to the storied factory. The Cromford textile factory, founded in 1783 by Johann Gottfried Brügelmann, is considered the first fully mechanized cotton spinning mill on the European mainland. Today, it houses the LVR Industrial Museum and offers insights into the beginnings of industrialization. The adjacent Poensgen Park, an English landscape garden, complements the historic ensemble and invites visitors to linger. The workshop is aimed at families with children aged 8 and older. Participants are welcome to bring their own watercolor sets, sketchbooks, and water brushes. Registration is not required but is recommended due to limited spaces.
