For over 30 years, Wesel has been celebrating the Historical Hanse Festival, which transforms the city center into a medieval atmosphere. Along the Hanse Mile, Hanseatic cities from Germany and abroad present their tourist offerings and regional specialties. The farmers' and medieval market between Hohe Straße and Berliner Tor offers a diverse range of goods, accompanied by musicians and jesters who create an authentic atmosphere. A highlight is the historical parade featuring torchbearers and a fire show. A Sunday with open shops rounds off the festival.
