Mischa and Christiane lead a harmonious marriage, their son successfully completing his medical studies – a seemingly carefree life. But on Mischa's 50th birthday, his supervisor offers him not only partial retirement but even immediate termination with full pension. Suddenly, Mischa feels old and alien in his own skin. Christiane barely recognizes her once-vibrant husband. When their closest friends arrive for the birthday celebration, an emotional chaos unfolds: the beginning of what is known as "age puberty." A racing bike is purchased, a fitness room is set up, and the previous life plan begins to crumble.
