The exhibition "Brave New Working World: Dream and Trauma of Modernity" at the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn highlights the profound changes in the world of work between 1890 and 1940. In six thematic chapters, around 300 works are presented, including paintings, graphics, and photographs by artists such as Otto Dix, Hannah Höch, and Leo Breuer. These works reflect the impacts of industrialization and social upheavals of that time. The exhibition bridges the gap to the present by drawing parallels to current discussions about the future of work. A visit offers the opportunity to explore the historical roots of today's working environments and gain new perspectives.
