Counter Theater - We will soon reach "O, du fröhliche" - canceled

On December 24th, in the morning, a group of diverse characters finds themselves on the Eurobahn train from Osnabrück to Münster: a stressed lawyer who still wants to buy a gift; a nurse looking forward to a blind date; a shy student with a Christmas tree for his grandmother; a grieving conductor experiencing his first Christmas without his deceased wife; a cheerful Christmas enthusiast on her way to Aasee; and even Santa Claus, who is heading to a celebration at Prinzipalmarkt. A sudden snowstorm halts the train in the middle of the route. The involuntary waiting time leads to unexpected encounters and conversations that profoundly change the lives of the travelers. The audience becomes part of this improvised Christmas celebration, singing together "O du fröhliche" and experiencing a series of happy endings. The Westbeverner ThekenTheater presents this romantic comedy by Katrin Jäger as a special Christmas production. Directed by Jörg Kracht, the play will be performed at the Bürgerhaus Telgte. Kracht emphasizes, "Laughter and singing along are explicitly encouraged!" The Bürgerhaus Telgte, a center for cultural events for over 30 years, offers the ideal setting for this theatrical experience with its flexible room concept.
