The exhibition "MAGICAL WOMEN" at the Draiflessen Collection in Mettingen presents artistic positions from the 20th and 21st centuries that engage with magic, occultism, and spiritual practices, often from a feminist perspective. The focus is on how artists use these themes to question and reinterpret societal structures, identities, and gender roles. The exhibition highlights the cultural and political significance of magical representations of women and their influence on society and art. Among the exhibited artists are Zanele Muholi, Rebecca Horn, Ana Mendieta, and Myrlande Constant. A multilingual publication will accompany the exhibition.
