Photo Practice: Zoom Erlebniswelt Gelsenkirchen

The ZOOM Erlebniswelt Gelsenkirchen is home to around 900 animals from over 100 species in the experience worlds of Alaska, Africa, and Asia. Thanks to a modern zoo concept without cage bars, the nature-inspired habitats allow visitors to encounter the animals almost up close. As part of the photography practice course, the experienced instructor guides the participants through the zoo and imparts fundamental photographic knowledge. Various lens focal lengths and camera modes (P, Tv/S, Av/A, M) are explained and applied in a practical manner. Participants should be familiar with operating their digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR, with or without a mirror) or their modern smartphone with multiple lenses. It is recommended to fully charge the devices in advance. To minimize reflections on the glass panes of the enclosures, wearing dark clothing is advantageous. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, any potential course rescheduling will be communicated via email on the day of the event. The meeting point for the course is located in front of the main entrance of the ZOOM Erlebniswelt. Please note that the course fee does not include the entrance fee for the zoo.
