The hike begins at the Iserlohn hiking station and initially passes by the Rupenteich. A steep ascent leads to the Danzturm, the landmark of the former wire trading town, located on the 384-meter-high Fröndenberg. The path continues along the Sauerland-Waldroute, passing the historic smelting site and leading south below the 400-meter-high Klippenkopf to the Löhen forestry house. From there, an access path leads back to Iserlohn. The route covers approximately 18 kilometers with an elevation gain of 400 meters and is classified as a moderate hike with a difficulty level of 2-3 out of 4.
