The pot is green - Hike to the Tetrahedron in Bottrop

The hike "The Pot is Green – Hike to the Tetrahedron in Bottrop" begins at Gladbeck West train station and initially leads to the park of Wittringen Castle. The path then winds through the Westerwiesen in the Boye Valley East and the Bottrop district of Boy to the spoil tip of the former Prosper coal mine. Following winding paths, the 114-meter-high spoil tip is climbed, which is one of the highest viewpoints in the Ruhr area. The distinctive landmark of this spoil tip is the Tetrahedron, a pyramid structure with three observation platforms, the highest of which is 38 meters above the spoil tip and offers a spectacular view of the attractions of the Ruhr area as well as the surrounding spoil tips. A final loop around the Alpincenter Bottrop and the path to the next train station or bus stop concludes this hike.
