The pot is green - Hike on the southern Baldeneysteig

The second stage of the Baldeneysteg stretches across the heights south of Lake Baldeney and presents a diverse landscape. While the northern route impresses with steep forests and narrow paths, the southern section is characterized by expansive fields, dense wooded areas, and historical evidence of mining. The starting point is at the Kupferdreh S-Bahn station. The path runs partially along the lakeshore and leads from the mouth of the Deilbach into the interior of the country. A planned rest stop takes place at Haus Scheppen, a well-known meeting point for motorcyclists and cyclists. Afterwards, the trail leads above Fischlaken to the Werden II cemetery and ends with a descent into Essen-Werden. The route covers approximately 15 kilometers with a pure hiking time of about five hours and has a moderate level of difficulty.
