Cultural Circle 2025/2026 Cultural Circle, "Best of NRW" with Darius Preuß (violin) and János Palojtay (piano)

As part of the concert series "Best of NRW," the cultural association of the city of Attendorn presents a chamber music concert on February 27, 2026, featuring violinist Darius Preuß and pianist János Palojtay. The program includes significant sonatas for violin and piano in A major. Darius Preuß, born in 2004 in Bochum, began his studies in 2022 at the "Hanns Eisler" School of Music in Berlin. He regularly receives lessons from the renowned violinist Leonidas Kavakos as part of the Stretton Excellence Mentorship Program. His musical career is marked by performances in prestigious concert halls and participation in international masterclasses. János Palojtay, born in Hungary in 1987, gained international recognition by winning third prize at the Santander Paloma O'Shea Piano Competition in 2012. He completed his master's degree at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and subsequently studied with Kirill Gerstein at the Stuttgart University of Music. András Schiff invited him to the concert series "Building Bridges," which led to performances throughout Europe. This concert offers the opportunity to experience two outstanding young artists in Attendorn. The event will take place in the auditorium of the Rivius Gymnasium.
