Experience a unique encounter with these fascinating animals at the "Alpaca Moments of Happiness" with the Teuto Alpacas at Petersberg. This offer allows you to experience alpacas up close, study their behavior, and learn more about their habits. Observe the animals in their natural environment, admire their large eyes and long eyelashes, and let their calming presence enchant you. Alpacas are naturally shy and reserved, yet also curious. When feeding, they come closer, and some even tolerate a gentle touch on their necks. Please note that alpacas are not cuddly toys and do not cuddle with each other. The program includes an introduction to the origin and behavior of alpacas, followed by the opportunity to observe, photograph, and feed the animals. Afterwards, you will visit the stable and gain insights into the processing of alpaca wool, which is referred to as the "fleece of the gods" due to its silky smooth and feather-light texture. The event takes place in all weather conditions; in case of rain, the program will be moved to the stable. It is recommended to bring weatherproof clothing and suitable footwear. Unfortunately, dogs cannot participate, as alpacas are afraid of unfamiliar dogs, which could disrupt the flow of the event.
