Historical Town Tour: Daje & Geeske. A Life Behind the Dike.

Doris Voss begins her extraordinary guided tours through the fishing village of Greetsiel as Daje from the 18th century. She is accompanied by Angelika Bolinius as "Geeske." This is a staged costume tour. Daje is a peasant woman from the 18th century and welcomes you as citizens from Hamburg to Greetsiel. You are trade partners, and Daje shows Greetsiel from its historical side. She tells stories of family tragedies of the chieftain families and their connections to Greetsiel. This is a journey through East Frisian history, and at the end, there is a communal East Frisian tea ceremony (included in the price). The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours, including the tea ceremony. Individual tours with "Daje - a life behind the dike" can be booked for all locations in the Krummhörn or as a round trip. Note: Participation in the tour is only possible with a valid ticket. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance at our ticket shop or in person at the Tourist Information Greetsiel, Zur Hauener Hooge 15. Ticket reservations are not possible.
