Christmas Spirit in a Historic Old Town Setting
When the scent of cinnamon, mulled wine, and roasted almonds wafts through the streets of Rinteln and the festively decorated marketplace shines with lights, the most beautiful time of the year begins in Rinteln: the Rinteln Advent Magic.
From November 28 to December 28, 2025, the Rinteln marketplace transforms into a charming Christmas village with lovingly decorated little houses. Here, you will find a variety of handicrafts, beautiful gift ideas, and of course, there will be plenty of food and drink available. The market will be closed only on the Christmas holidays from December 24 to 26.
Festive Opening with Music and Christmas Raffle
On November 28 at 6:00 PM, Mayor Andrea Lange will officially open the Rinteln Advent Magic at the marketplace. Following this, children's songwriter Christian Hüser will entertain both young and old guests. At 7:00 PM, the first drawing of the popular Christmas raffle will take place. Afterwards, you can celebrate the opening of the Advent Magic with the band "Brisant."
Daily Stage Program and Special Highlights
On the rustic stage in the heart of the marketplace, guests can expect a varied daily program featuring puppet theater, musical acts, and dance groups – there’s something for everyone.
Thursday evenings promise a festive party atmosphere at the "After Work Christmas Meet": With DJ EL CAPITAN & DJ CHRIS W. and a Happy Hour, the market will remain open until 9:00 PM on these days.
Multigenerational House & Christmas Shopping in the City Center
A popular meeting point is the "small multigenerational house," which serves as a cozy gathering place managed by various organizations and clubs. The Advent Magic is complemented by the diverse range of goods offered by Rinteln's retail stores – ideal for gift shopping in a festive atmosphere.
