Our goal: to make classical music accessible to as many people of all nations as possible. Everywhere, the audiences of the Chamber Philharmonic Cologne are already looking forward to musical encounters with our exceptional talents. The Chamber Philharmonic Cologne was founded in 2003 in the city that bears its name – Cologne, which is world-famous for its music college and its music and instrumental educators. Over the past decades, generations of musicians have been trained here, who are unmatched in their musicality around the world. For this reason, the Chamber Philharmonic Cologne can now rely on many core musicians and their vast experience. Currently, over 100 members perform in constantly changing ensembles as the Chamber Philharmonic Cologne. Carefully selected according to strict criteria, the musicians are formed into numerous ensembles. After intensive rehearsal work, they then set out into the world on tour, embarking on a musical adventure. The repertoire of the Chamber Philharmonic consists fundamentally of handpicked and highly demanding pieces. The special appeal of our programs lies in the encounter of both popular and unknown works from various musical eras. Familiar names such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi, and Peter Tchaikovsky engage in dialogue with works from composers like Sergei Prokofiev to the tango king Astor Piazzolla. This unique blend promises variety at the highest level, without us raising a musical finger of admonition. After all, music should entertain, not instruct.
