Our interactive permanent exhibition tells the story of how natural conditions shaped the economy, which in turn transformed the landscape. Not only historical objects but also numerous hands-on stations and a dedicated children's trail convey the life and work of people 150 years ago in an exciting and vivid way. The powerful steam engines make the ground tremble when we set them in motion for you. A truly special experience is taking the glass elevator 30 meters down into the walkable Hasestollen!
