Battle of the Teutoburg Forest: Family Tour in the Permanent Exhibition

During a tour of the exhibition, parents and children will learn what happened in Kalkriese 2000 years ago, how the Romans and Germans lived, and how an English major discovered the ancient battlefield over 30 years ago. We will also try out: how different is modern body armor from the armor of antiquity? (90 min., €6.00 plus admission, max. €18.00 per family plus admission). Our highlight exhibit is the Roman chainmail armor. You can conveniently book tickets through our online ticket shop.
