The Tea Drinker

The North German landscape, a timeless place between wide meadows, blue skies, and East Frisian tradition. On an old mound stands a house. In this house sits the tea drinker with a cup of East Frisian tea in front of him. He looks outside, gazing exactly at this landscape and observing its changes. In this landscape, people come and go, Molly ends up in the Thermomix, Gerd and Inka meet for tea, and two teacups come together. Lands and connections arise and fade, thoughts make sense and then disappear again. Time passes. Two characters accompany you through a world in transition and share their passion for art. The starting point of the performance was the painting "North German Landscape" by Heiner Altmeppen: A horizon with a modern city in the distant background. What do we see in this image, and what does what we see tell us about ourselves? You will experience an evening full of small stories and grand images, overflowing imagination, and the delicate scent of tea, sprinkled with a cloud of cream.
