"Without thunder, people would have little fear of lightning." Rumors of a sea monster roaming the oceans drive the esteemed marine researcher Annorax out to sea. The sea monster turns out to be a submarine, led by Captain Nemo, an engineer on a quest for revenge. He shows Annorax and his companions the wonders of the deep sea and the secret behind an inexhaustible energy source. But with that, they become prisoners forever... In cooperation with the Theater Laboratorium, under the direction of Pavel Möller-Lück, an adventure story is told that critically engages with the ideals of conquest and progress. An evening is created that aims to provide us with ideas to catch our breath amidst the whirlpool of events.
