Waltz & Polka II - Pyrmont Blend

The Wiener Melange, the Austrian cappuccino variant, has given its name to this new format. Just as the right mix of coffee, milk, and foam makes the difference in a Melange, in the concerts it is the blend of waltzes, polkas, and songs that matters. In the program "Waltzes & Polkas 2," you will hear dance and operetta music from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Emmerich Kálmán: Included are Mozart's "Viennese Dances," Adam's overture to "The Nuremberg Doll," Ketelbey's "In a Persian Market," Beethoven's "York March," and Kálmán's "The Circus Princess." The salon orchestra arrangements come from the archive of the state bath. The performers are Stephan Gimenez and Katharina Kunzendorf on violin, Iwona Tatarczyk on cello, and Juan Diego Galindez on piano.
