Wool - a unique natural material Learning to felt at the National Park House Wurster North Sea Coast In this felting course, a small unique piece will be created to take home through wet and dry felting! There are two methods of felting: Wet felting involves felting the wool with lukewarm water, soap, and muscle power, while dry felting shapes it with needles. The different fibers of sheep wool are not only suitable for creating durable, natural products but also for modeling all kinds of felt objects. Many sheep graze on the dikes of the Wurster North Sea Coast. They stabilize the soil and naturally keep the grass short. Plant seeds in the sheep's fleece are released into nature, contributing to biodiversity in the meadows. Unfortunately, the special sheep wool is often disposed of due to lack of demand, so appreciating the wool also supports the sheep farmers in the region! Topics: February - Squirrels March - Rabbits
