On this easy tour, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the Harz National Park and hike through the core zone of the nature reserve. Here, nature is allowed to develop freely, and the transition to a new wilderness can be clearly seen in many places. Depending on the weather, the vast, treeless high moor area of the nearby Großen Torfhausmoor offers a magnificent view of the Brocken or a mystical foggy atmosphere. You can also easily spot real carnivorous plants and other rare moor inhabitants from the boardwalk over the moor. And who hasn’t always wanted to walk in Goethe's footsteps or explore the well-preserved relics of the Upper Harz water management system, a part of the UNESCO World Heritage?
