Eggnog Hike

The Hike

This event is held in cooperation with Catharina Schütze, Time to Hike. Join us for a delightful hike through the Münden Nature Park: Hopefully enjoying mild temperatures, we will hike through the spring-like forest to the idyllic Klusteich. After nearly 3 kilometers, we can take a short break at the shelter and taste the first egg liqueur. Refreshed, we will continue our hike. After about 4 more kilometers, the second stop awaits us at the Weserliedanlage in Hann. Münden – with a wonderful view of the city and the confluence of the Fulda and Werra rivers – and, of course, another tasting of the creamy liqueur. Afterwards, we will leisurely hike back to the starting point in Hermannshagen along the Summer Path.

Start: 2 PM (meeting from 1:50 PM)
Meeting point: Hiking board below the Jagdhaus Heede, Hermannshäger Straße, Hann. Münden

Duration of the hike: approx. 11.5 km / 4 – 4.5 hours including breaks, depending on walking speed
Total ascent: 290 m
Trail conditions: loose ground (forest paths and trails), gravel, and asphalt
Difficulty level: moderate

Requirements
• Stamina for an 11.5 km hike and 290 meters of elevation gain
• Walking speed of at least 4 km/h
• Sure-footedness
• Depending on the weather, the paths may be muddy

Tasting at Klusteich and Weserliedanlage: each 3 different egg liqueurs

What to bring
• Basic physical fitness for the hike
• Sturdy shoes with good grip
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Sufficient non-alcoholic drinks for the way and possibly snacks for a small hunger
• Good mood

Note to participants
• This tour is not suitable for strollers and/or carts
• Alcohol consumption during the hike is limited to the offered egg liqueurs at the planned stops at Klusteich and Weserliedanlage
• A friendly dog is welcome on a leash to accompany the hike
• Please inquire upon registration if the dog spot is still available
• The tour will be conducted with a minimum of 10 registered participants
• The maximum group size is 20 people
