Climate change is no longer just a future concern. Its signs and impacts are palpable for all of us. Together, with a biologist and certified nature and landscape guide, we embark on a mudflat hike, searching for clues in the mudflat, such as newly naturalized organisms. We are on the trail of the effects of already elevated ocean temperatures and marine heatwaves. What does research have in store for us, and how might it all look here on the coast in the future? We aim to address these questions soberly during this mudflat hike while enjoying the tranquility of this unique habitat.
