Sometimes it’s art made of fabric, sometimes it’s paintings - but one thing these exhibitions always have in common is that they feature wonderful handcrafted items made with great love by the exhibitors. The exhibitors showcase their art and also sell their products on-site. You definitely shouldn’t miss this.

What? - Unique jewelry by goldsmith Susanne Ortanderl

Goldsmith master Susanne Ortanderl would like to invite you to her two-week special exhibition at Haus Siebje (back, right room). Ms. Ortanderl lives and works in Oberursel. In her own workshop, she creates unique pieces of jewelry using various techniques in gold, silver, gemstones, steel, and wood.

The artist spent a large part of her apprenticeship on Juist. Given her long-standing connection to the island, it is not surprising that some of her jewelry pieces look as if the wind has piled up the fine Juist sand. For this, she has fused gold filing with silver. The resulting color and light reflections on the surface, partly enhanced by the artificial blackening of the silver, create aesthetic accents on the unique jewelry pieces. These delicate, organic lines keep the simplicity of the geometric outer form alive.

The exhibition is open from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
