The Great Heinz Erhardt Show - The Musical about the Unforgettable Rascal

"Take yourself lightly – it saves others the trouble!" (Heinz Erhardt). He once said about himself that he had "the devil in his neck," referring to his playful spirit. He was, and still is, the uncrowned king of German humor, the grandmaster of silliness and delightful wordplay. Unforgettable and unmatched! The world premiere of the first Heinz Erhardt musical was celebrated in November 2017 in Hamburg. Among the guests were the daughters and granddaughter of the clumsy humorist with the horn-rimmed glasses, who expressed their compliments to the ensemble for the musical. Initially planned only as a guest performance, the Erhardt musical captivated audiences so much that it has become a staple at the home theater, the historic Hamburger Engelsaal. Now, the successful ensemble is touring Germany for the first time and will be performing at the Harzer Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Wernigerode on March 16, 2026.

In the well over two-hour program (including a break), the performers Stefan Linker (Heinz Erhardt impersonator), Ralf Steltner, and Karin Westfal engage in a lively exchange, reciting one Heinz Erhardt poem after another. They are accompanied by piano, saxophone, and drums. Catchy melodies paired with humorous texts, intertwined with the life story of Germany's greatest comedian, promise a delightful mix of spoken and sung texts. These will be presented both individually and in duets or trios. The most beautiful poems and ballads of the pun genius, many of which have been set to music for the first time, are skillfully combined and staged in one go. Whether it's Knight Fips or King Erl, whether maggot or cow, even the sour lemons and the G-sketch are performed to perfection.
