Lecture From Pole to Pole

Slide presentation by Heinz-Peter Gerber Ice and deserts, plants and forests, rivers and waterfalls, mountains and seas, (wild) animals and humans, as well as interesting buildings from both older and newer times, all of this makes our diverse planet. But as Augustine said in the 4th century: "The world is like a book. Those who never travel see only one page of it." And so, my wife and I have been able to discover around 100 countries and islands over the last 40 years: FROM POLE TO POLE, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and much that lies in between. Each time we returned with a wealth of stories and photos. A small selection of these can be experienced in this slide presentation. The presentation, featuring short video clips, lasts about 110 minutes. There will be drinks available during the break.
