Low German in Salzgitter? "Because one does, now it’s happening!" Contrary to many assessments, Plattdeutsch is not a dialect, but an independent language with its own grammar. Why has it almost disappeared, and yet why is it not completely gone? Those interested should be given the opportunity to encounter the Low German language. Radio and television Platt, as it is spoken on the coast (schnacken/snacken), is at the center alongside the local Eastphalian Platt (kören). Learning languages is a lot of fun. - Plattdeutsch is simply ideal for that. - For clever folks and those who are a bit slow too. No prior knowledge is required. (Teaching material: Snacken, proten, kören). If desired, further appointments for the continuation of the course can be arranged with the instructor.
