Winter hike in the Kirnitzschtal

From the Kneipp spa in Bad Schandau, our path takes us with the historic Kirnitzschtalbahn to the Lichtenhainer Waterfall. From here, we walk to the new Wildenstein with its gigantic rock gate - the Kuhstall - and a charming view of the rear Saxon Switzerland. With a warm sip, we head over to the distant rock walls along the Fremdenweg, which was already taken by the first travelers to Switzerland over 200 years ago. The ascent to the small Winterberg warms us up thoroughly and rewards us with magnificent views. From here, we continue to the large Winterberg and the Kipphornaussicht. For the eyes, the panorama; for the body, a sip of mulled wine; and for the soul, a few poetic lines. Afterwards, we descend into the winter village of Schmilka, where our tour ends and you have the opportunity for culinary or warming relaxation.
