Image Cosmos #2: Art from Leipzig - Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig

With "Image Cosmos #2," the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig presents a comprehensive exhibition on painting and sculpture from the 20th and 21st centuries. In nine gallery rooms and the central hall on the third floor, both well-known works and long-unseen pieces from the museum's collection are displayed. The exhibition pays tribute to the contributions of Jewish artists such as Eduard Einschlag and Abraham Jaskiel, as well as international positions, including those of Getachew Yossef Hagoss. A special focus is placed on the development of the Leipzig School and its significance for the city's identity. "Image Cosmos #2" will be on view until April 12, 2026. The permanent collection of the MdbK includes over 4,600 paintings, 1,800 sculptures, medals, and plaques, over 5,000 photographs, and more than 70,000 works on paper spanning seven centuries.
